Cancelling an Appointment:
We appreciate 24-hours’ notice of cancellation.
SMC Scheduling Department hours are from 7:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. A voice mail system is provided if you call outside of office hours.
General Registration
Please check in at the main lobby registration area 10 minutes prior to your appointment.
We ask that you bring your Insurance/Medicare/Medicaid cards so that we can make a copy of this information for proper billing.
You will be asked to sign a consent form giving SMC permission to treat you. After completing registration you will be directed to the appropriate waiting area.
If you are under the age of 19, you must have a parent or guardian accompany you for your legal consent and legal documentation. If you are the age of 19 (i.e. college student) and covered on a parent or guardian’s insurance, insurance requirements dictate that we have their consent to treat you.
Financial Counselor
Our Financial Counselor will work personally with you to establish a payment schedule that fits your current financial situation. If you feel your income is not sufficient to pay for your services at SMC, you may qualify for our Patient Assistance Program. We would like to work together with you to make the resolution of any problems with your accounts as pleasant as possible.

After filling out the information you may print the detailed report and
bring it with you for your visit to expedite your registration process.
If you have current insurance coverage, Saunders Medical Center will bill your insurance company shortly after services have been received. You may receive a statement which will indicate that insurance payment is pending. After insurance has paid their portion of the bill, you will receive final billing information in the form of statements. You are always responsible for any applicable deductibles, co-payments or other amounts not paid by your insurance company.
